How does funding work for my HUG?

Learn how the stipend system works and how often you get paid.

We're thrilled to be able to support our HUG Leaders financially to help pay for the costs associated with hosting a quarterly HUG event.

We understand hosting meetups sometimes comes with a financial cost. So, if you pay for food, beverages or space for your meetup, then we will provide a stipend on a quarterly basis with the amount set forth in the table below. We will calculate the tier that is applicable to you based on the average number of customer/user attendees that you hosted during the preceding year.

  • All New HUGS: $500 USD
  • 0 - 25 Attendees: $500 USD
  • 26 - 50 Attendees: $1000 USD
  • 51 - 75 Attendees: $1500 USD
  • 75 +Attendees: $2000 USD

HUG Stipends are directly deposited into the account that we have for you on file at the start of each quarter.

While we appreciate your participation in the HUG program, outside of the stipend or expenses that we have set out above, we won’t reimburse or otherwise compensate you for your HUG Leader representative’s time, travel or any other expense you incur in connection with your participation as a HUG Leader. In order to receive your stipend within 30 days of the last day of the quarter, you must ensure that HubSpot has the most up-to-date financial information required to process the payment to you.

Stipends may be held if you are not in compliance with our legal guidelines, if you fail to host one HUG per quarter, or if you fail to submit the proper forms before and after your event.
